Chinese fuses

The local independent pound shop has a card of 20 brightly coloured chinese special flat car fuses offered for a pound. I had a look closely at each 5A 10A 20A rating fuse - they are identical!

have you tried or a member of a coop or shared workshop

It was not a woodworking shop, but when I was living on Long Island there w as "shared shop" where you could rent a bay with a lift to do your auto rep airs/modifications.

Store Clerks "DUMBER THAN HELL"

Up to about 5 years or so ago I used to either do cash or checks for almost everything and seldom used a credit card. Then I found out about the cash back. Some cards even give from $ 20 to $ 50 just for getting their card and using it a few times.

Cleaning new saw

As a guy who sells this in a bike shop, I suggest kerosene or the $6 / gallon citrus degreaser from the Borg, vs. the $6 1/2 liter from the bike shop. Even _the bike_ shop dosen't use that in it's own parts washer.

OT (kinda) High School Wood Shop

The high school I went to was all about shop. It was/is a trade & technical school. First year was exploratory shop where each student had a few weeks of each shop available. I recall there being automotive, wood, metal working, plumbing and electrical.

Personally, I like having both because I really don't read much in the shop.. that's what recliners are for.. *g* Also, I like to learn sort of "hands on"...

Noisy Skandanove freezer - is this normal ?

My father has a Skandinova frost-free freezer, which he bought from Currys when his old freezer caught fire ! Understandably he is a bit timid with domestic appliances now, and is worried that the new freezer makes a lot of noise.
