Advice as how to apply ridge cap

It’s not that difficult to install a ridge cap on your roof, but if you do not know how, you can hire roofers to make sure the job is done correctly. However, if you want to do it yourself, the first thing you should do is measure the ridge of your roof with a tape measure. Then, line up the first ridge cap shingle on either side of the roof. Lay it down flat, and nail it into place. After that, lay the down the second shingle overlapping the first one, and do the same procedure until you reach the end. Make sure to add roofing cement to prevent the ends from sticking up. Inspect your roof and make sure no nails are sticking out. Good luck!
