Expansion tank

Can anyone tell me how to tell if an expansion tank is in working order and what are the symptoms if it is NOT working properly? Thank You Ron

I assume the HWT ? You often find water on the floor from a TPV. If no water and the TPV is stuck you can blow up the house especially if you have a one way street valve.

That's what the Tank does, it takes the expanded water so there is no more pressure than allowed on the line.

Check that TPV ! Its no joke.
