how to replace the spring latch on a wooden umbrella

I need to replace the spring latch that holds the umbrella open and need to know how to do it. It is of wooden frame and the old one is rusty. Also, I am looking for a wooden rider hub which connects the arm support rods. It is 6 3/4 inche circumference and holds 10 arm support rods. I would like to know if anyone can make several for my projects. Any information would be helpful. Thank you.

Usually, you don't because you're in a forced obsolescence world. I haven't ever found any mechanical, structural or meaningful replacement umbrella parts. It looks and seems easy enough, but not being able to get the parts is a big deal.

- However, the bottom hub can be replaced by a bent rod that runs through each arm. And, the catch can be replaced by drilling a hole and inserting an excessively long bolt. Kind of annoying to use, but you'll get years more life out of the thing.
