It's good to know you can paint over asbestos until you're ready to remove it. I still think it's a good idea to remove it rather than just cover the problem. I guess in your case, the asbestos is on the outside, so it's not as urgent.

I had no idea that there was paint that could cover up the asbestos. To be honest, I would do my best to save up for the removal. Look into deals with local asbestos removal companies!

I've been wondering this same thing for a while now also. I believe that maybe just regular paint from your local home improvement store will work. My dad said he would help me do some research before I start my own project to cover up the asbestos removal.

I've seen that asbestos removal is an important issue these days. It has to do mostly with the fact that building code has improved lately and lots of older structures have been grandfathered in. I'd say that most buildings over 50 years old were built with some asbestos in them. Painting over it might not solve the problem for long, it is a very pervasive substance that can leak through.

Any exterior paint works fine, but you want to Paint Pad or scrub it on. Rollers and Brushes don't force the paint into the material. With a Paint Pad you'll realize 15-years between re-paintings. Armor Paint or even Ceramic Thermal Paints will give you 30-years between re-paintings.
