Try pressing the star (asterisk) key anytime during the message. Many systems will send you right to the "beep".
Some may force you to listen to part of the message, others will bypass everything. When I call my Financial Advisor, I have to listen to the company generated "Instructions cannot be honored via voicemail" greeting, but as soon as my money-maker starts talking, I just hit *.
My Verizon voicemail does the some thing. Of course, my Verizon voicemail prompt starts immediately with my voice message, not the "forwarded to" message that you described.
There's no voice mail prompt for Text apps/Messenger/Tik-Tok DM/Threads/Video calls or whatever else high schools kids use to communicate. I'm guessing that regular phone calls and leaving voice mails rank pretty low on the list of ways that high school kids communicate.
