Anyone know? Seems to be sometime in June? Hope I didn't miss it!

Hmmm, Low IQ people just can't crack at Linux. Linux is used widely commercially, industrially every where. Do you use a WiFi router in your home network? What OS does control/operate it for an example?

There's a huge difference between using Linux on the Desktop and "using" Linux embedded in a device.

Really? You, the "expert" will certainly be able to explain in detail

I would make it more a matter of taste and laziness than IQ.

DOS is the force fed default option. In order to use anything else, even MacOS you've to got actually put a little bit of effort into it. Just making a conscious choice is more than some people are willing to do.

The FUD that Lemmings have been perpetrating since the 80s is a big part of that. That's the beauty of tablets. They look so alien to PCs from a laymans perspective that all of those decades of FUD doesn't matter anymore. They are the perfect little wedge against the MS hegemony.

Embedded devices give no access to the underpinnings of the OS. They just represent a single user level application that an end user would interact with via a webpage or IR remote.

Although a desktop Linux user can build the same kind of machine too.

Whereas as every day is laugh at MS day!

Easy: with the desktop you have to worry about an user interface for the user that ties together a bunch of features and allows them to work with many tasks in a way that does not exist on embedded devices.

It is also why you and your herd have such a hard time coming up with ways desktop Linux benefits your productivity, efficiency, and error-reduction. In embedded devices you can find examples of benefits - on the desktop you are very hard pressed to do so.

Laugh at a corporations making a boatload of profit or its well-paid employees who can buy themselves luxury cars and eat out on a regular basis? I'm curious.

Laugh at the folks who actually USE a bloated bunch of spaghetti code so the above can happen!

As I recall, about a year ago you Windolts were whimpering and whining about Micro$oft needing to lay people off.

LOL

Then you pathetic losers got all butthurt that FOSS advocates didn't feel "sorry" for M$ workers, as if the Empire Empire is entitled to forever suck the world's wallets dry. Too stupid to understand that money saved by not buying M$ slopware gets spent elsewhere, creating jobs elsewhere.

So Windows, which runs faster than KDE, GNOME and Unity, is the bloated one?

How do you know or think that MS os is spaghetti code?
