Go to Google, then Google Groups (newsgroups). Enter "UCC Total Home" You will get 5600 reports, nearly all negative. Sounds like an upfront-payment scam.

My folks are a part of this. IIRC they paid a huge amount to join. They think they actually made it worth while since they bought in just before they started major renovations and updates to their home. They've found great deals on high-end laminate flooring there.

That being said, they both agree that had they not done the renovations, they probably would never have saved enough to make that membership fee worth while.

The other thing to consider is you have to deal with the manufacture yourself for warranty claims, damaged goods, etc.
