Slippery Bathroom Tiles – Any DIY Fix That Actually Works?

Hi everyone,

I’ve got these smooth tiles in my bathroom that get dangerously slippery after cleaning. I’m trying to avoid mats — they shift around and start smelling after a while.

I heard there are some clear anti-slip coatings or gels that people use directly on the tiles. I’d love to hear if anyone has actually tried one that works well long-term.

Something safe, DIY-friendly, and doesn’t mess up the look of the tiles. Any suggestions?

Read this if your bathroom tiles feel like ice. Because mine did. And it scared me.

Every time my parents walked into the bathroom, I’d watch them closely. Even a few drops of water on the floor made me anxious. You probably know that feeling.

We tried:

Floor mats (slipped)

Bathroom slippers (forgot to wear them)

Mopping a hundred times a day (still didn’t help)

Nothing worked. I needed something that actually solved the problem — not just slowed it down.

Then this happened. I found a product called Luna Grip. It’s not fancy. Not flashy. Just a clear gel you apply on the tiles.

No smell. No glue. No drilling. And guess what?

In 15 minutes, the floor had grip. My parents noticed it first.

“Hey, this feels different.” Not sticky. Not rough. Just… safe.

And that’s what I wanted.

If you’re still worried every time someone walks into the bathroom... Try this. It’s one of those small fixes that change how you feel every single day.

Try this anti slip gel

You sure you meant LUNA Grip ? That appears to be a type if nail polish. There is an ALPHA grip meant to make non slip floors
