Hazardous History

I'm watching the first episode of a new series on History Channel called Hazardous History.

I'm sure many of you here would enjoy some of the toys and playgrounds from childhood. Roller Coasters that pull 12gs, chemistry sets with radioactive materials, Jarts, glass blowing kits, and so forth.

New episodes Sunday night at 10, this one repeats Sunday at noon.

Somehow we survived. Car seats? There were two hand prints worn down to the primer on the steel dash of the '51 Chevy where I would lean forward to get a better view. Bicycle helmet? Say what? Being able to buy flowers of sulfur and potassium nitrate in 8 oz cans from the drugstore up the street without some nosy adult asking why?

No wonder Generation Whatever are so screwed up.

We'd buy them at two different drug store to avoid suspicion.

Naaaa! They tend to lean in the direction of reality and facts.
