You don't actually purchase this gadget. You merely buy a non-transferable owner-only license to use it.



(I guess this is the answer for people whose neighbors are always borrowing their tools.)



Another interesting feature of the license: they even disclaim the "warranty of merchantibility." In other words, they disavow any claim that it works for the advertised purpose.


They could send you a used popsicle stick with that (non)warranty and you couldn't complain.
