Absolutely crazy. Aside from live ammo, it should not have been pointed directly at anyone.

It especially should not have been handed to someone who was told it was empty. But your statement is true, nevertheless.

Apparently, it was the third "misfire" event of the day.

I have to wonder why there was live ammo on the set.

I suspect ISS walked out with the rest of the union crew and someone brought in some guns from home. I did have it wrong, The asst director handed Alec the gun and he shot a camera woman. I still wonder why he was shooting at a camera woman. Why not offline a little? In a movie they seldom shoot "you" it is always offline a little. Otherwise, how could you watch the rest of the movie?

The others were a couple days earlier, but yes. they had a day or two to tighten up their system, but some of the union people went on strike and they told all the oher union people to leave and hired new people that day. I guess they were so new they didn't know not to load the gun.

I feel sorry for Baldwin. He must be crushed. Oops, you can take that two ways. He almost certainly feels crushed.

Sorry, they didn't call it a strike. "Walked off the job." Because of excessive work schedule and *safety* problems.

BTW, they make prop guns that will not accept a whole bullet, just blanks. Not sure what happens to wadding. Wadding can kill someone but it's a lot less likely. 90, 98%?
