Pressure washer hose repair

May 28, 2004 2 Replies

The hose from the unit to the nozzle developed a kink and now the hose has developed a spraying leak at the kink. Besides finding a new hose, is there a temporary fix that might work? It is not under a "large amount" of pressure, it is one of those small household type pressure washer units in a plastic rolling case like the $150 unit at home depot. I think 1800 psi. Thanks.

No. Don't even think about using it. Either buy a new hose or take it to a specialty store that does hydraulic hose repair and have them hack off the bad part and reinstall the fittings to make a shorter hose. Odds are, replacement will be cheaper. Good luck.
