The second af1 is only used on international trips.
True but that was the only trips my BIL went on. He was the presidents "telephone man" and in those days the president traveled with a complete #5 Crossbar telephone exchange that they set up for communications. That was in addition to the secure links run by the Air Force. (a neighbor of mine)
