Pay before towing or after

Only have a few experiences, but it was paying at the end. May depend on areas and experiences. If you're towing in low income areas and know many times you get a story at the end, probably a good idea to get the money upfront.

I call AAA Most tows are free ... up to 20 miles or so anyway. If there is an extra charge they will bill if you don't pay right then.

I have needed AAA once this century, because of a dead battery. Towing would have been free, but they got my vehicle started.

BTW, the battery was replaced under warranty, so that was free too.

I briefly considered joining AAA but I believe the limit on the base plan is 10 miles which is almost worthless in Montana. Of course, they were will to sell you the gold plated plan for just a few dollars more. It smelled like a come-on t me.

We had AAA when I was a kid and the strip maps were useful when traveling. But now there are these little devices... Even then, getting stuck in a snow bank was not covered.

This is the first evidence I've had of that. Good to hear.

Yes, the court show has most of its litigants from the big city, so maybe they're more cautious there.
