ot Who Warranties the Tire Valve Stem Core?

I always USED TO make sure at least one of my valve caps was one of the metal ones with the tool built onto the tip. Still do on my bikes

They seem harder to come by any more, though...I've noticed recently missing caps on wife's vehicle repetitively; the plastic ones don't even seem to stay on any more...

The tool is on my air pressure gauge along with a tire plug kit. But you're right, most people don't.

It's a good idea to keep one of the valve removal types in the glove box. I haven't, have never needed one, but it sounds like a good idea.

Seriously ? Probably a bit of dust in the stem. That's the price of a (Chinese) hand pump. Or you can get a US-Made Trump-Pump (guarantees the tire will always be full of hot air) for US$ 1999,99.

Valve caps are meant to keep dust out, not air in ... []'s
