A guy on tv spent maybe $10,000 on a troublesome ex-girlfriend, and I wanted something tangible to compare that with.
I'd like to say that's like buying a ----- for no good reason.
But I can't think of anything that many people buy that costs more than
1000 and less than 20,000.Phones, tvs, stereos, unless you get something bigger than almost anyone wants are under 1000, right. And new cars are almost all over 20,000.
It would be of little meaning to say "It's like buying a camper" because most people have never shopped for a camper. It would seem silly to say, "It's like buying a $10,000 used car".
Maybe I just don't live high enough on the hog and there are lots of things in that price range, things that most people want or at least consider once in a while, and many people buy.
What are they?
