Wait six months and someone will sue complaining they found parts of a shoe in their M & M.
I had a candy company call me and ask if it were safe to eat our company's plastic. They had found that a plastic gear in the factory had worn down and bits of plastic may be in the candy. I told them that while our plastic was approved for food contact it was not for food.
Probably better than rodent hairs and droppings...
