Most of us here are parents or grandparents. A lot of truth here
Back in the day, with two sons in college at the same time, someone commented it was like buying a new chevy every year and driving it off a cliff.
Today that car would be a Tesla model S.
It's interesting that you think that helping your kids succeed is a waste of money.
Unless of course, they are both failures...
It's interesting that a recurrent theme of your posts is criticizing and finding fault with others.
Psychologists note that this ego defense mechanism-- which is called projection-- serves to externalize, disown and transfer a person's own shortcomings, anxieties and fears onto others.
On the other hand, you may just be a curmudgeon. Hard to know, I guess ;-)
Looks like you misread me, as usual.
My sons are all successful.
My point is education is far more expensive than years ago. Lot of blame like inflation is too much government money being spent.
Sounds like a good analysis of him. He should think about it.
Who are you and what did you do with Wade?
Have you read any of Wade's posts? He's always bitching about something and even insults brand new posters.
Remember when Wade posted this?
"One question, one suggestion:
Or maybe you are Wade and you just don't have the ability to look inwards and see what you are really like.
Don't backpedal too fast, you might trip and hurt yourself.
Your comment directly relates to buying something and then essentially throwing it away. All you did was update the cost of the "wasted item."
Or they're just sociopaths who don't care about anyone other than themselves.
Probably wrote before he thunk.
Nope, and now I'm thinking about how much I stand by my comment.
It is a mindset of many here and elsewhere.
I didn't see a negative. The article was humor and your comment just fell in line. You've spoken highly of your kids in the past.
I liked the one about the PowerPoint presentation about the need to use condoms and was just a series of photos of the daughter.
Lighten up people.
And would burn for days!
Guy at the door: Sir, would you like to make a donation to the local orphanage?
DAD: NO PROBLEM. (TO ME) HEY, YOU LIVE WITH THIS GUY FROM NOW ON.
