My 4th gen iPod shuffle just took its second annual trip through the washing machine.
It survived last year's dousing and detergent thanks to a few minutes with a hair dryer followed by a week in a zip lock bag filled with uncooked rice.
Same remedial procedures this time. I just now pulled it out of the rice bag. And while there were no lights or response when I switched it on, the orange charging light did come on when I connected it to the wall wart.
