Down the hill from me is a group of about 20 houses and all the wires are underground. I chuckle after a storm and see it dark. The substation is about 2 miles away and all above wires and poles to their feed.

a safety hazard. We have called PG&E, and they have agreed to come out an d look at the problem. We have suggested to them, that a guy pole would so lve the issue, but the pole would need to be mounted about 60 ft away. Doe s anybody know if there is a maximum length that a guy wire can be? Any he lp appreciated.

Thanks for the explanation. I worked for a Polish co. & have a Polish wife so that was beaten out of my head.
From responding to so many fire calls pole means several different things.

Hydrants are usually painted by the local water supplier to indicate flows and threads to the fire co.

As discussed before (ad nauseam) speed limits are determined by the roadway engineers, access points, etc and the 85% rule.
Wait...you used a winking smiley face. I can't tell if you're being serious about me being serious or if you are seriously not being seriously serious.
Damn! Now my head hurts.
Just for the record, DerbyDad03 did not write what the quoted post claims DerbyDad03 wrote.
I assure you, that will get worse as you age...... ;-0
I have a feeling that I have aged a bit more than you realize.

Well, you always seem quite spry and spunky in your posts.
I take after my grandfather. I plan to be spunky and spry until the day I die.
... here's a recent video - possible guy wire involvement.
Roadway engineers my ass!
For a given road, every speed has a level of risk. The faster you go, the higher the risk. The slower you go, the lower the risk.
If we can save just one life, isn't it worth it. LOL

texting motorists on the road next to the sidewalk would make me uncomfort able though.
mph was safe but you'll get a spankin' if you drive 80 mph?
Or is this a "safety hazard" in your mind?
e higher the risk. The slower you go, the lower the risk.

Try looking where you're going instead of blaming others.
If you've been electrocuted, surf on over to:
They're support wires, not conductors. Since they're metal and go into the ground, they cannot possibly have a voltage.
