Does anyone happen to know how to disable the security alarm on my 2012 Nissan Versa? Want to stop it from going off for no reason I can determine. VERY embarrasing! No success looking in user's manual. No success with Google for Versa yet.
Suggestions? Maybe not possible?

Define " Security Alarm " ... My Kia has a poorly designed key fob - when I have the keys in my trouser pocket, and I'm active with washing the car or doing yard work - the horn-blowing-lights-flashing is often activated by bending over or squatting and the fob alarm goes off. ... very annoying - but I don't want to damage the fob by prying it open to investigate a way to disable it .. some folks do it :
Locate the source of the noise. Remove the beeper from the dashboard.
It ain' easy.

Interesting idea. Locking the car is still ingrained though. However, thinking back, 65 years ago, when I was a kid, I don't think I locked my car.
