I just replaced a couple of old Venetian Blinds with the new cordless ones. Since they don't have cords they are safer for small children who have know to be killed when they got caught up in the cords.
Then I realized that they have a minor problem. I can work them ok, but my daughter can't.
They are closed by catching hold of the bottom runner and pulling it down. My daughter is 5 feet 1 inch tall. She can't reach them to pull them down. There will have to be something to extend the bottom so it is in her reach. Of course she can't open the all the way either.
