Labor Estimate for Tile Job

Apr 06, 2004 2 Replies

I want to hire someone to tear out the existing bathtub wall tile, and install new tile (size 6"x6"), including installing new hardy backer board, grout, and sealing the tile. This is a 55 sq ft area. Any ideas on what is a reasonable and fair price to pay per sq ft for the labor to do this in the Dallas area? Thanks so much for your assistance.

Just for a point of reference, I had a walk-in shower replaced last year. The whole job, excluding a plumber to install a new shower pan, was $1774. This was for 2 1/2 walls and shower floor. Total was 93 sq. ft.

I used Hernandez Floors and Walls, Dallas and highly recommend them. Their phone number is 972-919-9700

Dave in Plano.

Thanks, Dave - this is exactly what I was looking for.
