How to clean out rotten food in fridge

The spray should be 1/2 strength bleach.

If you spray the entire interior surface down with 1/2 strength bleach before cleaning, they'll all be dead.

Food in fridge (turned off) has been decaying for 3 months. Would it be dangerous to breathe near the fridge while cleaning it out?

You can be pretty sure there will be mold spores floating around. Use a spray bottle to dampen things so the spores are less likely to spread.

Question is, wil it be dangerous to inhale those spores while cleaning?

Possible. Wear a dust mast at least.

That's what I'd use. Bleach is a wonderful disinfectant.
