How can I upload an image?

Walter, you could open an account with Shutterfly

create an album and upload your pix to that album, send yourself the link via e-mail, and then copy /paste that link into a new message here. It's a lot easier to do it than to explain it!

It was not at all clear from your post that you knew what not to do, and it is clear from this post that you do NOT know what to do in regards to more than just posting pictures. Please WRITE your posts more carefully so that others may give you more precise help. Sloppily worded questions are a worthless waste of bandwidth! Another VERY stupid move in usenet is to tell someone they are a worthless waste of bandwidth after they attempt to help you, whether you feel their answer helped you or not.

Well, I believe I used the word "possibly", and not "likely" as you did. It is possible to lose one's email account for posting binaries to a non-binary group. Some ISP's take this sort of transgression more seriously than others. It would be wrong to say that it can't or hasn't happened. It most certainly can and has.

If the poster stops and thinks about what I said and changes his behavior as a result, I will have helped him a great deal. You, however are quite beyond help, and it would be a waste of bandwidth to try.

You are quite the horse's ass there, plop. I did, in fact post exactly the information "Mr. Rude Asshole" needed in a previous post in this thread. Perhaps you don't know nearly as much as you think you know.

.... Speaking of wasting bandwidth: Your post, and this one, are total wastes. Go get a life and a thicker skin. If you're not answering the question asked, then you're wasting time and bw.

That's my answer to you

Never say always & always avoid never. But it can be stated as possible but not probable if you really like to nitpick.

Sometimes it is helpful to display a photo in conjunction with a query at this NG.

What is the simplest and cheapest way to show an image pertaining to a post?

Thank you

That is the OP

Hmmm...yep, read it, understood it. It is written in plain English, short, succinct and to the point. I don't see where it could be any clearer.

What does all that useless blather you just posted have to do with anything? Either answer the question or don't bother replying.

Thanks to all of you who were helpful.

Actually, I have several websites. But, they are complex and I prefer not to mess them up just to upload one image.

Thanks to your suggestions I found a free site where people can post their photos:

I will give them a try. There are others.

I can't believe that one of you gentlemen hasn't directed one of the others to this website by now:

You don't have to mess it up. You just upload the jpg file to a directory in the page somewhere and then post the URL in the newsgroup. You need not make a reference to the hyperlink on the webpage to store something there... you only have to post the complete URL for the photo in the newsgroup. As far as normal visitors to your website go, they won't have a clue the picture's there for the downloading. Only the folks who click on the hyperlink in the newsgroup will see the picture.

That was hardly a "nit-pick". In reality it was a low quality attempt on your part to change and disparage what I really said. That speaks volumes about your honesty. I'll keep that well in mind when reading any further advice you post. You can't be trusted to tell the truth. Got it!

Huh? Maybe you should look in a mirror.

  1. That is your FIRST reply to me.
  2. I don't have a degree, never claimed to have one.

That is two major errors you made in a on 3 line post post, you feeling a bit stupid now?
