First time in my life, toilet substantially clogged, then uunclogged, then for some strange reason almost fully clogged, then partially clogged, then almost fully clogged. Spanning 3 weeks, various things tried. I had put nothing in it but stuff that comes out of me and toilet paper, and not even as much paper as sometimes in the past.

they only reach half-way. If the clog is beyond there, some water pressure but no direct pushing.Took off aerator and ran hose from bathroom sink to toilet, hot water only for 4 minutes to flush out the room temperature water, plus dish soap (Ivory fwiw), a combination recommended iirc for toilet paper, let sit for several hours, plunged with the thing above, and all is well now.
