Fun FactsIf you wind the cord from your earbuds into a circle, they always gettangled when you try to use them. If you fold them over and over until they're short enough to put whereyou want them, they unfold with much less gangling than the methodabove. At least in my experience. There must be some branch of science or math or industry that deals withstuff like this. Anyone know?

Yup... ...I know that one well.

It's great for coiling a cable or anything else where twisting in only one direction will cause the rest of the whatever to get progressively more and more twisted; especially when you're dealing with something very long.

What it won't do is prevent tangles when you uncoil it.
