I am cleaning out my garage and have found a tool called a Craftsman Nextec Hammerhead Auto Hammer - 12V Model No. 320-61352. I have no idea what this thing is, or what I could have used it for. Unless to hammer a nail down flush with surface. I plan to toss it, unless I learn it has some utilitarian value. Dumb me - what do I know? Anyone? oldman

Basically a battery operated light duty palm nailer - work reasonably well for small (trim type) nailing in close quarters.
Depending on what you have

There are several items there with pictures.
I can relate to this. I find things in my house I can't remember ever getting, that I don't know what they do.
Regardless of what it does, if it runs and smoke doesn't come out of it, you should not throw it away. You can give it away on freecycle, on Craigslist, to a tool library in your town. If someone takes it just so he can sell it on ebay, that's fine too. You can even give it to goodwill, salvatino army, or those others. At least some Goodwill branches sell things on ebay that their floor traffic is unlikely to buy.
Even if it doesn't run, you can give it away. There are people who fix t hings and broken stuff is often sold or given away.
It's not right to throw in the trash things that work or could work.
