Michigan’s top election official, Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, appeared on Michigan’s top-rated radio show two days after the election and blatantly lied about who covered the windows and why, telling the popular, now-deceased WJR radio host Frank Beckmann. “We welcome transparency,” the nation’s most non-transparent secretary of state exclaimed. And then, she dropped a lie so easy to fact-check that if Detroit had a single honest news outlet, it would have been all over the news the next day: “The windows were being covered by the [Detroit] Police” because “they were being broken.” Benson said.
