Cleaning Alumunim

I have 3 pieces of diamond plate alumunim I want to clean up 3x3ft. ea, any thing other than buying some alumuim wheel cleaner?

soap and water if you're removing paint, aircraft aluminum stripper.

nope. no ideas at all. only aluminum wheel cleaner will get them clean...
