That is a lie. That study in Vietnam shows the exact opposite, that they are nothing like useless.
And that is why those doing the testing and helping those who are infected wear them.

It isnt possible with a physical mask.
In spades with a mask/no mask test.
Hide the good stuff inside of layers of the bad stuff. Be a little more creative
Some lies for you to read through:
Get creative. Sew the same outer cover over both. Make sure something on the worthless masks simulates the stiffness and air constriction of the good masks.
Then serialize them, shuffle them up, and don't let the administrators know which masks are which until the study is over.
This is the only way you remove bias from the test
As long as you get to personally set the parameters, you also get to preselect the outcomes. Nice work.
What were you saying about the scientific method?
Still trivial to work out which of the cloth masks are high density denim or a vacuum cleaner bag or are just a T shirt or a surgical mask inside.
In spades with the stuff like fitted N95 masks and masks with an without valves.
In spades with a mask/no mask test.
Nor possible even when very creative.
That refutes your original lie with those worn continuously.
But doesn’t present any evidence to substantiate that claim.
< and cloth masks even less effectiveLogically stupid. It isnt possible to be even less effective than not effective.
None of those say what you claim.
That tells you nothing about how effective say a bandana is.
And is useless for a mask/no mask test.
Pity that isnt possible.
You are selling yourself too short
Is English you r first language? There is a difference between a respirator and a mask. Yo missed it
You did not read the study then
You did not read them
It sure would. Did you miss the part about a "worthless mask"?
So very possible. You are selling yourself too short.
Yeah you are right, this is NOT a medical situation, it is a political one where medical facts and real studies do not enter into it. We just get opinions about what "might" do something and things that "may " happen. Even the studies you folks cite, involve a half dozen enter twined factors and you pluck out the one you want.
We see studies where they quarantine, close businesses, socially distance, wash their hands a lot and 90% of the people wearing something remotely related to a mask with no standard of what a mask really is in various degrees of compliance (covers your face, just covers your mouth, you pull it down to speak or it is just on your chin)
Then they have the audacity to say it was the mask that made the difference. Then we have a study specifically testing cloth masks with 1600 participants in a controlled study and you say it is bullshit. If a HCW can get infected in a hospital, you can get infected at the grocery store where sanitation and protocol is far less of a priority.
What else did they do at the same time? you keep forgetting to mention that. Are you talking about places that locked down their borders early and quarantined everyone? Banned all assemblies? Closed businesses? restricted domestic travel? Yeah right, it must have been the masks.
They always glaze over this in the conclusion
"Moisture retention, reuse of cloth masks and poor filtration may result in increased risk of infection".
That is far more of an issue for people who are wearing these things outside in the summer, even if it is just walking from the car to the store. At a park or the beach, it is ridiculous. This is just a wet rag on your face if you don't live in Aspen. Try it at 95 degrees with 80% humidity.
Not in any you presented so far.
Not even possible to ensure that a bandana is not distinguishable from a surgical mask and still be testing a real bandana.
In spades with no mask at all in a mask/no mask test.
Then you won't have any difficulty spelling out to make it not obvious that there is no mask with a mask/no mask test.
We ONLY say that YOUR stupid claim that cloth masks are worse than no masks because the study didn’t in fact say anything like that and in fact said very explicitly that the control group did mostly wear some form of mask.
But that is with respect to surgical masks, not no mask at all.
They didn’t even test no mask at all and said that very explicitly indeed and said that it would be unethical to do that.
Another bare faced lie.
I love this one "she uses the analogy of a drunken person stumbling into chairs and walls while trying to cross a room. “The particle is the drunk person, and the chairs are the fibers of the masks,” she says. “The fibers stop the particles.”
I guess she has never been in a bar. The drunks may knock over a lot of bar stools and chairs but they still make it to the bathroom and back.
