For so many years (20+) I've had this nice push-broom, nice soft thin (synthetic of some kind) bristles.
Thus far, I've never cleaned it.
As you might imagine, after all these years sweeping the kitchen floor, they've gotten a bit coated with something (the bristles, that is).
I had this belief, superstition, whatever that trying to wash or clean the bristles would somehow harm them, so I never did.
The time has, uh, come, finally, to do something.
QUESTION: just how *does* one clean a "nice" push-broom?
Thanks for any suggestions!
