What is the most hardy and fastest growing evergreen shrub? I live in the U.S. midwest. Basically want to use a shrub to use as a natural fence and want it to grow as fast as possible. Thanks!

Privet hedge is an old standard.
Euonymus is a pretty good choice too. Manhattan is a good upright type with dark green foliage, also available with a variegated leaf.
Good idea, be sure to spray it with dormant oil in the winter. It gets scale real bad if you don't.
