You all probably have already found this site, but it is new to me.
The lake data is interesting (even if Lake Minnetonka is not in Northern MN & Lake Independence is only a few miles away from Mtka) Data on Leech, Red, Mille Lacs & Lake of the Woods would be useful as well, (even if the DNR won't allow the lake loops). Real info would include data on Tons/Acre of Lake surface, Guess you'll need to dig through the books.
