At night, it seems that water is running somewhere in the house or that we thought we had a leak somewhere. I believe it may just be the water coming up through the baseboard heating pipes or that same water running back down to the furnace. Can someone confirm if that may be the case. I have checked all over the house in and out and find no trace of leaks anywhere.
At night, I hear what I think is water running, but believe it is the baseboard heat either taking in the water or the water running back.

If you have a hot water heat system it is possible you hear water gurgling through the pipes. Usually that is a sign you may have air in the system or it is low on water. Again, I am not sure because you did not give enough information to know exactly what type of heating system you have.
