First Changes in Our Garden for 32 Years.

The hard landcaping I constructed in 1987 remained the same as this until earlier this year.

Unfortunately our 3000 koi pool developed a leak. To change the liner would have involved removing all the perimeter rocks, part of the waterfall and the bridge that covered the filter return.

' '[image: ' So we bit the bullet and had it filled in with 20 tons of eco-friendly hardcore and paved over. It's now our rose terrace.

' '[image: ' We also had a 30ft conifer on the rockery reduced to 5ft.

' The back of the garden remained unchanged.

' The fish went to a neighbour who I helped to design his koi pool a few years ago. So are being well looked after.

We took them round a few at a time in a "pram."
