The hard landcaping I constructed in 1987 remained the same as this until earlier this year.
Unfortunately our 3000 koi pool developed a leak. To change the liner would have involved removing all the perimeter rocks, part of the waterfall and the bridge that covered the filter return.

So we bit the bullet and had it filled in with 20 tons of eco-friendly hardcore and paved over. It's now our rose terrace.

The fish went to a neighbour who I helped to design his koi pool a few years ago. So are being well looked after.
We took them round a few at a time in a "pram."
