warm and dry

this past week, not much rain, temps up into the

80s. next week looks to be about the same after a few days cool off down into the 70s.

i'm ok with that, it would be nice to have one cool day tomorrow and that is when it will supposedly happen. i can finish up most of the heavy digging and hauling in the first strawberry patch. no mystery to me now why things have not usually grown very well in there. the subsoil is your typical old farm clay pan layer. with it being so dry lately i need a pickaxe to break it up.

peppers still doing well, tomatoes too, beans coming along. i'm all caught up on shelling out everything i've picked that was ready.
