My garlic has started to scape. I cut them off.
Does scaping tell me anything about when to harvest?

No, not that I'm aware. As I understand it (poorly ;) ), the "tell" is similar to onions -- the formerly strong stem starts flopping over as the plant pulls water (etc.) back into the bulb.
In Maine, we grow Rocambole, hard-neck garlic. The bulletin attached says "When the lower three leaves have turned brown, you have about two weeks to harvest your garlic."

That you guys! Most of the stems are still upright. Those that have fallen over are still green.
