on spin the WM bounces about like a good'un. should the WM have been installed in a different way? housetrained

Probably not level.
or not standing equally on all 4 feet - they are normally adjustable.
Can also be one (or more) of: Floor not supported well enough Drum weights come loose (generates lots of noise too) Drum support spring or suspension damper become detached Drum suspension dampers worn out Transport clamp still in place
