I’m sorry y’all here have the same issue of black dots but for me it’s a relief that it’s not just myself or something I’m doing to cause these black dots. In three of the homes I lived in within the last twenty years, I always wore flip flops, mostly ones with black soles. So I was convinced these tarry tiny black dots that appear randomly and not in clusters but always individually In my current place, I no longer wear flip flops. In the different locations, my floors have been tile, natural stone, light color laminate and currently dark color laminate. With this dark laminate, I have to look harder to see them but they are there.
Now hearing from y’all, I’m now more curious how these tiny black tarry dots come about.
I’ve always been able to bend over and easily scrape them off with a paper napkin or paper towel. But here’s my latest …. Recycle and reuse TT tubes, use the ends to scrape and they come right off! I hunt them down and a quick easy scrape and they quickly come off. Toss the used tube in the trash. Curiously and thankfully, I haven’t had any in my new place where I have ceramic tiles in the kitchen and bathrooms. But I’m ready for them with my TT tubes that scrape them off easily!
