My dog was very sick a few days ago and not only puked a couple of times but also had a diarrhea episode on the new carpet. I've used both our Hoover Steam Cleaner and tried the Resolve spray and vacuum foam. Although much of the stains are gone there still remains some stain. Any ideas on how to clean this?

Pull up the carpet, put down tile.

Hope your dog is better. We had a similar thing happen and the poor sweet soul eventually died, but we did eventually pull up the carpet and put down pergo flooring. The stains reminded us of what was missing in our life etc.... so now we have pergo. I suppose tile is the same. Just wipe it up quickly and there is absolutely no mark.
I have come to the conclusion that life with animals is better when you do not have carpeting. Favorite cat brings in tasty rats to eat and leaves colors on the only carpet we have left:(.
Of course we live in a temperate place. To soften the pergo, I get 8 X 10 rugs at Costco for about $139 and then can throw them out after a few years.
It is what works for me after years of trials.

Aloha. I live in Wisconsin, yet we live somewhat parallel lives. We had to put that dog to sleep. But she was a good old girl and had a good life. I only have two dogs and one cat right now. The cat likes to bring me baby rabbits in the Spring.
I wear socks in the winter and I buy my rugs at Shopko. Swiffer is my friend. Carpet is really gross. I was so embarrassed when we ripped ours up. I will never put it down again.

Swiffer is my friend too! Makes it all perfect and I love it clean! Even bought the duster things today because the floor things are so fabulous.
Eventually we will get rid of our bedroom carpet so the cat can be the cat he is. This am- a gross half-rat.

hot soapy water using tide detergent ( liquid) use wet dry vacuum fully soak the area--im talking about a gallon of solution--vacuum it up and rinse well with warm water
