show me what you got

I'm bored and it too fricking hot outside to work on my pos house. So, I read some of a 109 post thread about a house that Michael was setting out to do, and had a link to a web site with some "abomination" house that some dude designed and was on good morning udf of america. I thought the house sucked. it was just another example of "I'm better than you are" mindset that grips this nation. I really feel this nation is on the brink of falling into the shitter. but I digress, You guys got any pictures of the work you do? Don provided a link to a picture of a house he admired, but I don't know if he ever built anything like it. I'd like to see what Michael came up with. Or anythng else. I need entertainment.

Has some (dim twilight) pictures of the Sonic I did the exterior for. Two disqualifying statements:

- It was "to match plaza" - the contractor didn't actually build the design.

Since my client is not planning on living in this house long, it would be a disservice for me not to express my re-sale concerns. Of course, if he still wants to do it fine by me! I'll just end up looking great and saying "told you so!"

You wouldn't believe how good I'm making out with this client. I jokingly circled a tiny 12 acres on a copy of his land (lake front of course) and he said if I wanted them he'd give them to me (problem is, my wife doesn't want to move 30 miles north - and at the time I didn't take him seriously). What I have taken him up on is helping him with his latest business venture. He asked if I had any ideas/suggestions and I did, that has led to him and he's business partner making me an equal (1/3) owner. Last week we got our first client and their first order is making me the equivalent of 8 months pay (and the client predicts 5-6 of those size orders next year - and that's just one client, we've already got a couple more lined up but are trying to start off slow and manageable). At this point it's all sorta hush-hush but the potential is unreal.

He also owns 120 acres (not the lake land but it does border DNR/State land) and it's currently being surveyed. He's going to split it into 25-30 home sites. He's asked me if I'd be interested in designing the houses he's going to have built (plan is to build 10-12 houses next year and sell the other sites). I actually don't know if I will do it or not. This new business venture makes my design/drafting pay look like crap. If I can find a way out of all that drafting/design work without offending him that'd be great, so I can focus more on what really pays!!!

PS - BTW, I kissed no ass. But I do talk straight with him (which I gather is not the norm) and my business input has already turned out to be profitable (the client we got is a friend-of-a-friend of mine). Now that I have the business ownership/principle paperwork I won't have to worry about future ass kissing needs!

A Sonic, is a Sonic Drive in. It is the original american concept of a fast food resturant, where you drive in to a parking spot, order your food from an intercom , waitress brings it out, and you eat in your car. Sonic wasn't the first, but they are one of a few chains left that delivers food this way. The first drive in's had the waitress coning to you car to take your order.

I've noticed that accessible stalls in the loo are not HC only. I will tend to use an inaccessible stall as a courtesy, just in case, if one is open. But that's just 'cause I'm nice.
