Kenmore 70 Series gas dryer. Nothing is turning on or working. Dead. Could it be the main dial or on switch. Power outlet is working.

Dryer won't even turn on. Just stopped working. Outlet has power. Wondering if the main dial went bad or the on off switch.

Does the drum lamp turn on when you open the door? This lamp is wired before any fuses and it should work any time the door is open if everything is fine with the power and the cord, see wiring diagram attached below. Other Kenmore 70 reference diagrams are also included just in case.

So, let's start with that lamp and then we'll go down the list of other possibilities.
