Washing Machine Hose Legnth ?

Hi

My Washing machine sits under the window in my kitchen, it is not built into any units or anything it sits itself. it is connected into a stand pipe, which is teed into my main drain which the sink also goes into the drains and stuff are all hidden in a cupboard next to machine, i want to move my washing machine from the middle of the kitchen under the window, to a cupboard opposite the sink, however i do not want the waste pipe running along the wall with the supplys. so can i run the grey pipe from the stand pipe in the cupboard, under the floor across the kitchen to the cupboard opposite where i can the bring it back up to the washing machine and connect it, i will fit a sealed anti-syphon trap, instead of the standard p-trap that is alresdy there. would it be ok to do this or would water lie in the pipe under the floor or cuse the machine to not drain away at all, the distance from the drain to the cupboard opposite is 1900mm.

cheers for any help on this

lol. 1.9m should be fine, but I'd try it and see before committing to moving and plumbing in permanently, just in case.

Why are people into this bizarre fashion of writing 1.9m as 1900mm? I knew metrication was stupid, but is it that stupid?

Its perfectly normal practice.

Same as 59 inches or 4' 11"

I would always specify lengths in mm if I wanted precision.. so I accept here where precision is not relevant 21.8m is probably more sensible..but there is no reason to insist.
