I'd think that there must be specialist manufacturers catering to the shorter shopper.

And around 1p for thin crinkley bags. Not a fraction.

If you really want to be pedantic about this, it's reasonable to assume that a big supermarket chain would buy them in far larger quantities than 10000, and would therefore get some additional discount. Since even a 1p discount off your quoted price of £100 per 10000 bags would make them cost a fraction of a penny (albeit a large fraction), it would seem that Andy was right all along.

I pay less than a penny per bag and I only buy 500 at a time.

where they roll down slopes and dent cars, get driven into and are a general nuisance...

Somewhat out of my manor on Friday/Saturday, a little "patio" job up in Luton (yuck!). Off to B&Q Who^H^Harehouse as BMs shut for some sand & cement. Guess what! There's an Aldi opposite the Luton B&Q. I nipped in there for a few bottles of wine[1] and a few odds and ends to try. Unusually, there was a bloke in the car-park collecting up abandoned trolleys. That's right, collecting abandoned trolleys! At Aldi, where there's a deposit system! Needless to say, all the Aldi trolleys were in use or neatly chained up, the trolley collector was gathering up about 25 or 30 various B&Q trolleys dumped in Aldi's car-park.

[1] I thought I'd got 6 Niersteiner Gutes Domtal QmP Sp=E4tlese 2001 Rheinh= essen at =A32.49, but no I picked up 6 C=F4tes du Marmandais Sauvignon Blanc at =A33.99. Ubggre. Still, I suppose I'll have to do the honourable thing.

Some wines from Aldi have won awards from various organisations such at the IWSC - so have some from Tesco, Waitrose, etc. They are worth drinking.

At least they're not made of sour grapes. ROFL!
