OT - Lights going out in three years

The import tax would kill you jules.

If indeed you were allowed to import meat products.

I remember when I were a lad doing the postal round at christmas. And afterwards. Jan 2 I had to deliver a package of smoked salmon from Scotland that had missed pre Christmas delivery. Needless to say it was a rotten stinking mess, but we still had to deliver it....

Old nukes already set to have at least 5 more years.

Bet they mothball old coal as well and pay em to stay in readiness, large combustion directive or not.

Wit for BBC announcement yhis winter 'will consumers please switch off all non essential electricity using equipment' and joe bloggs unplugs his I phone charger.

She wouldn't come amiss now frankly. I didn't like her and I didn't agree with all her policies, but by heck, I thought she actually was really genuinely trying to do the right thing for Britain which I haven't seen since.

Now that's just unnecessary waste. What's wrong with Soylent Green?

It tastes like pot noodle, I'd imagine.

Any fool knows Pot Noodle is mined, not farmed.

With occasional tones of Rocky Mountain oysters?

Do they [try very hard to] serve them to touists in your neck of the woods?

Yeah :( I don't think meats are allowed through, no matter what. I might be able to get a local butcher to produce the right cuts for UK-style bacon for me, I've just never quite got the tuits together to ask. Mind you, there was some doom-and-gloom report about how pork prices are going to go through the roof next year due to rising feed costs, so maybe any bacon's going to be off limits for a while.

Maybe, but I doubt they'd taste very good.

No, that can't be true. Everything is the fault of someone who was prime minister 20 years ago, and nothing is the fault of the one who was next.
