The steering is going (rapidly) on my 1970s Thwaites 1 tonne dumper...
Are the steering boxes rebuild-able by home mechanics?
Failing that can anyone recommend a source of rebuilt units/ scrap dumpers?
I''m hoping they were/are fairly common units produced in 1000s for all sorts of vehicles besides dumpers - can anyone confirm that?
Any info or pointers gratefully received!!
