It was probably pulled down by whoever pinched the flashing.

tram is held up in places by ringbolts screwed into the brickwork of buildings either side of the road.

Brickwork, esp that of a good age, is entirely reliant on the weight on top of it, bloody mindedness and habit. Get to the top of a 30s chimney or wall and the bricks are just sitting there admiring the view!

That's why next doors is fitted properly using lashings around the whole stack. Don't worry a bit of "Liquid nails" will soon fix it :-)
