Electric supply to Oven

Hi Sparky

Do I need a 30amp supply for Neff series 3&4 cookers with max power o

5.9KW

Can it be plugged into the 15amp ringmain

Does it have to be done by a tradesman with special approvals

Heres hoping for an electric response!

Probably, but the clue is if it comes with a fitted lead and plug. If not, it will need its own radial.

13 amp.

Yes.

Yes. 5.9kW = 5900 W / 240 volts = around 25 Amps.

No for the reason above. Even if it did only require around 15 Amps then it wouldn't be a good idea as you might have something else (washing machine, kettle) plugged in at the same time.

Either you get building regs approval, do it yourself and then get it inspected by a NICEIC registered electrician, or you get the same electrician to do the lot.

If you are working with any electrcal equipment it is essential that only experienced personnel should install the cooker
